Junior's grandmother appears to be the person he most admires. Why does he admire her so much?
Junior asserts that his grandmother's greatest quality is her tolerance, and this is likely the first thing that students will mention. Encourage them to talk about other qualities that Junior admires in her as well. (Students may want to reference material from earlier in the book, such as the sage advice that grandmother gives Junior after his quarrel with with Roger.) The class will likely mention qualities that are related to Grandma's tolerance: for example, Junior admires that she has a lot of friends from different walks of life. She is also patient, open, and caring.
