Students will learn more the other students who helped fight to integrate Central High alongside Melba

Structure:

While Melba mentions the other members of the Little Rock Nine throughout Warriors Don't Cry, the memoir gives detailed insight into Melba's personal experiences. In this activity, the students will research the other students who helped desegregate Central High.

Assign each student one of the other eight members of the Little Rock Nine to research: Ernest Green, Minnijean Brown, Elizabeth Eckford, Thelma Mothershed, Gloria Ray, Terrence Roberts, Jefferson Thomas, and Carlotta Walls.
