    Your Neverland

    Kind of Activity:

    Creative Writing

    Objective:

    Students will engage with the metaphor of Neverland and create their own conception of it using the story as a template.

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.9-10.1, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.3

    Structure:

    The concept of Neverland is an island shaped to each child's imagination. It expresses their own invented worlds, their own fixations, and desired adventures. In order to engage with Neverland as a concept, have students create their own Neverlands.
