Students will conduct research to gain a better understanding of the context of the novel.

Structure:
Although Austen's work has been widely adapted, there will be much about Regency-era history with which students will likely be unfamiliar. There is much context that Austen also expects readers to be familiar with (e.g. understanding that a baronet is the lowest ranking of English nobility) in order to understand the story and her humor.
Divide students into groups of 4-6. Assign each group a topic:
