Aristotle's Poetics Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of the Poetics, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, and any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

The research activities on Days 1 and 3 will require internet access.

The ongoing "Tragedians" activity throughout the unit may involve filmmaking or podcasting; it's helpful if students can have onsite access to the technology necessary for such projects.

Day 4's activity on spectacle and criticism might benefit from access to video technologies that would allow students to see brief clips from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
