If Beale Street Could Talk Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of If Beale Street Could Talk, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

Teachers should create a shared classroom folder and assign each student a folder under their name. Students should save any digitally done work to their classroom folder for assessment.

Day 1: For their albums, the pairs will need computer and internet access to save their soundtracks to a shared music platform such as Spotify, Google Music, YouTube, etc. For the blues research, students will need computer and internet access.
