The author is unknown, although scholars often attribute credit to Sage Vyasa, who wrote the Mahabharata, which the Bhagavad Gita is a part of. The edition used for this guide was translated by Swami Prabhavananda and Christopher Isherwood in 1944. Published by Barnes & Noble, Inc by arrangement with the Vedanta Society of Southern California.
